Behind the Adventures: How We Make Each Story
A peek at the values and choices behind every Rainbow Trail Adventures episode — from gentle pacing to the six colors of the trail.
By The Rainbow Trail Team · · 1 min read
Parents often ask what goes into a Rainbow Trail story. The short answer: a lot of care about what not to include as well as what to put in.
Our story recipe
- One small problem that a young child can understand: someone is lost, stuck, or sad.
- Kind problem-solving — characters listen, think about feelings, and work together.
- A gentle ending where the Rainbow Trail glows on to the next adventure.
What we avoid
We avoid flashing effects, frantic pacing, scary villains and loud surprises. Problems are real enough to matter, but always solved with kindness and help. We don’t use cliffhangers designed to keep children watching — every episode feels complete on its own.
Why a rainbow trail?
The six colors of the trail — red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple — give young viewers a familiar pattern to look for and name. And the trail itself is a simple idea: there’s always another friend to meet and another chance to help.
Made for watching together
Every story page includes a parent summary, the lesson behind the episode, discussion questions and a read-aloud version, so a few minutes of watching can become a conversation and a bedtime story too.
