Privacy Policy

We built this website for families, so we keep data collection to an absolute minimum — and we never collect personal information from children.

The short version

  • There are no accounts, profiles, public comments, chat or direct messages on this site.
  • We do not ask for names, email addresses, birthdates, photos or location to use any story or activity.
  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the relevant age in your country).
  • Optional analytics and advertising stay off unless an adult consents, and are never personalized on pages meant for children.
  • Videos from YouTube load only when you press play, using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode.

Children’s privacy

Our animated stories are made for young children, and this website is designed so that children can enjoy stories and activities without sharing anything about themselves. We do not offer any feature that lets a child submit personal information, and we do not use behavioral tracking or interest-based advertising on content directed to children.

If you believe a child has sent us personal information (for example by email), please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Information we collect

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically processes limited technical information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested. These server logs are used for security and reliability and are retained for a limited period.

Information you choose to send us

If a parent, caregiver or other adult emails us, we use the email address and message only to reply. We do not add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent.

Optional analytics (only with consent)

If enabled, and only after an adult agrees in our cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are helpful in aggregate. Google signals and ad-personalization features are disabled. You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer.

Advertising (only where enabled)

We may in future show advertising from Google AdSense to help keep our stories free. If we do:

  • Ads are placed on pages written for adults (such as Parent Corner articles), clearly labelled “Advertisement”.
  • Pages directed to children either show no ads or request ads with child-directed treatment, which disables interest-based advertising and remarketing.
  • Personalized ads are only shown on adult pages, and only where the visitor has consented.

YouTube videos

Episodes are hosted on YouTube. Our video players do not connect to YouTube until you press play, and then use the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com domain. Once a video plays, YouTube’s own privacy policy applies. We recommend that young children watch via YouTube Kids or a supervised experience.

Legal bases (UK / EEA visitors)

We process server logs on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure website, and optional analytics and advertising cookies only on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of personal information we hold about you, and to object or withdraw consent. Parents and guardians may contact us at any time regarding a child. To make a request, email hello@rainbowtrailadventures.com. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Data sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share limited data only with service providers who help us run the site (hosting, and — if enabled with consent — analytics and advertising), under their respective terms.

Security and retention

The site is served over HTTPS. We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or anonymize it.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if our practices change, and revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will reset the cookie banner so you can choose again.
