Draw Your Own Rainbow Trail
Where would your Rainbow Trail lead? Children draw a magical path and the friends they’d meet along the way.
- Age range
- Ages 3–7
- Time
- 15–20 minutes
How to do it
- Print the sheet below, or use any piece of paper.
- Start by drawing a wavy path from one corner to another — this is the Rainbow Trail.
- Color the trail in rainbow stripes: red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple.
- Add places along the trail: a pond, a forest, a garden, a bridge — anything your child imagines.
- Draw an animal friend waiting somewhere along the way.
Talk about it
- Where does your trail end?
- Who would you help along the way?
- What sound does your animal friend make?
